In a Postgres master-slave cluster how to route certain queries to the slave only?

I have setup 1 master node and 1 slave node with Postgresql streaming replication. Is it possible to configure at database level to allow certain read queries to be executed in slave node only instead of routing to both nodes?

The PostgreSQL core doesn't route queries. Your session connects to an instances, and that is what you use. You need to use an external tool to route queries. What tool are you using to do routing?

You are right. I just discovered we need to use an external tools for this. I came across a tool called pg-pool 2. I am still figuring out whether it able to achieve sticky read queries
