How do I get the number of orders per employee?
This is what I need to answer:
- List all employees whose job title is purchasing clerk and the total number of orders each has created in the database. Show the employee id, first name, last name, and the order count in the query results. List the results in ascending order by order count.
Currently I have:
SELECT [Purchase Order].EmployeeID, Employee.EmployeeFirstName, Employee.EmployeeLastName
FROM [Employee], [Purchase Order]
WHERE [EmployeeTitle]="Purchasing Clerk";
I can't get the Count expression to return anything and my book has one page on SQL and its as basic as it could possibly be. I was barely able to write something this advanced with it.
If anyone wants to help with the last 3 I would very much appreciate it as I'm certain I won't be able to get exactly what I need.
What is the total dollar amount for all purchase transactions completed in January? (Hint: You can create an expression in the query design results section e.g. quantity * unitprice).
List all suppliers located in zipcode 33965 and 91343. List all attributes from the supplier table.
What is the total dollar amount for each purchase order in the database? List the PO#, PO date, and the total dollar amount in the results.
