SAP Control Center unable to recognize IQ version string

0

On a fresh installed SCC with SAP Sybase IQ on localhost I'm getting this error while connecting to localhost running scc agent for IQ.

SCC agent localhost:9999 does not know Sybase IQ version string.
Something is wrong with the IQ Agent plug-in.. SCC agent
localhost:9999 does not know Sybase IQ version string. Something is
wrong with the IQ Agent plug-in.

Any idea what might get wrong here?
Happens on SCC 3.2.x as well as 3.3 and no answer at SCN.

You need to source SYBASE.sh or .csh or .bat file before running the agent. This will place $SYBASE variable in SCC's environment. Using this variable ($SYBASE or %SYBASE%) from environment SCC can determine which IQ is running. Also, can you please let me know which OS are you running the IQ?

          • The agent will not start at all without sourcing the files. However, it appers to be kind undeterministic behavior at some times it works. Basic is installing IQ as root, but there is some more piece missing.
