Design db for different type values for same purpose

0

I've to store either a text box value or a select box value in a database. Scenario is below

There will be a temporary tutor for a student. Either internal from school or someone from outside. The external tutor has no record in the database.

Tutor Type: A Selection List Includes Internal or External

Tutor :
List of internal employees when type is Internal OR
a type in textbox when External is selected.

Table: "teaching"
-----------------

student_id | tutor_type | tutor_id | tutor_name

If I store internal tutor name instead of a change in tutor will not reflect.

How do I design table for storing this mixed data ?
